For creative founders, product dreamers and small business owners who have a product idea but don’t know how to turn it into something real, without wasting time, wasting money, or getting lost in the sourcing process.

SWEET MEMORIES

Have a product idea you can’t stop thinking about, but no idea where to start?

Welcome to Get Sourcey, the step-by-step course designed to help creative founders, product dreamers and small business owners turn their ideas into real, commercial products.

No more guessing. No more Googling yourself into overwhelm. No more wondering who to contact, what to ask, or whether you’re doing it “right”.

Get Sourcey gives you the practical knowledge, industry insight and clear sourcing steps to move from idea to action, with confidence.

SWEET MEMORIES

Sound Familiar?

You have an idea for a product, maybe even a whole collection, but the second you start thinking about actually making it, everything suddenly feels complicated.

You might be thinking…

  • Where do I even start?

  • How do I find the right supplier?

  • What should I ask for?

  • How do I know if a factory is any good?

  • What if I get ripped off?

  • What if I order the wrong thing?

  • What if I spend money and end up with a product I can’t actually sell?

Maybe you’ve spent hours researching, saving supplier links, watching videos, asking around, and still feel like you’re piecing together a puzzle without the picture on the box.

You are not the only one.

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t have a good idea. They struggle because no one has shown them the real steps between “I want to make this” and “this product is actually ready to sell”.

That is exactly what Get Sourcey is here to help you with.

Imagine If…

Instead of feeling overwhelmed by suppliers, samples, pricing, minimum order quantities, materials, packaging and all the tiny details that suddenly appear the moment you try to make something real, you have a clear path to follow.

You know what questions to ask.

You know what information to prepare.

You understand how to approach a supplier, how to brief your product properly, and how to spot the red flags before they become expensive mistakes.

You stop feeling like you are guessing your way through the process and start feeling like you are building something properly.

Picture yourself opening your inbox and knowing how to read a supplier reply with confidence. Looking at a sample and understanding what needs to change. Reviewing a quote and knowing what to question. Making decisions because you understand the process, not because you are hoping for the best.

That is the shift Get Sourcey is designed to give you.

From confused to clear.

From “I have no idea where to start” to “I know what to do next.”

From product idea to product plan.

I HEAR YOU

Introducing Get Sourcey

Get Sourcey is a practical, step-by-step course created to help creative founders, product dreamers and small business owners understand how to turn a product idea into something real.

Inside Get Sourcey, I’ll walk you through the sourcing and product development process in a way that feels clear, achievable and genuinely useful.

You’ll learn how to think about your product commercially, how to prepare the right information, how to approach suppliers, how to understand samples, pricing and communication, and how to avoid the common mistakes that can cost you time, money and confidence.

Why Get Sourcey Is Different

There is no shortage of sourcing advice online.

You can watch videos about Alibaba, supplier hacks, low-cost manufacturing and quick ways to find a factory. But most of that advice only gives you fragments. It doesn't show you how the entire process fits together, or what it really takes to turn an idea into a successful product.

Get Sourcey is different because it's built on over two decades of hands-on experience designing, developing and sourcing products for global brands, retailers, suppliers and creative businesses.

Lee has spent more than 20 years navigating every stage of the product development journey—from the first sketch and supplier brief through to sampling, production, pricing, freight and bringing products to market. She's worked alongside factories, attended international trade fairs, solved production challenges and helped launch products at commercial scale.

This isn't theory pulled together from online research.

It's the practical knowledge, commercial thinking and behind-the-scenes insights that usually take years to develop through real projects, real suppliers and real product launches.

Inside Get Sourcey, you're not just learning how to find a supplier. You're learning how to understand the entire product development journey—from refining your idea and creating a product brief to communicating with suppliers, reviewing samples, understanding costs and preparing your product for market.

You'll gain the knowledge to ask better questions, make more informed decisions and avoid the costly mistakes that so many first-time product founders make.

When you join Get Sourcey, you're learning from someone who hasn't just taught sourcing—she's lived it. Every lesson, template and framework is built from real-world experience, giving you a practical roadmap to move from product idea to launch with greater clarity and confidence.

What You’ll Learn Inside Get Sourcey

Get Sourcey is designed to take you through the product development and sourcing journey step by step, so you are not trying to figure everything out at once.

Each module builds on the last, helping you move from idea, to brief, to supplier conversations, to pricing, to samples, to shipping, to preparing your product for the real world.

Getting Started

This welcome module sets the scene for the course and helps you understand what to expect before you dive in.

You’ll cover:

• What Get Sourcey is and how to use the course

• What to expect from the sourcing and product development journey

• Important course disclaimers and realistic expectations

• Key sourcing terms and industry language so you do not feel lost from the start

Finding or Refining Your Product Idea

Before you can source a product, you need to know what you are actually trying to create, and whether it makes sense commercially. This module helps you look at your idea properly, whether you already have a product in mind or you know you want to create something but are not sure what that should be yet.

You’ll cover:

• How to find, refine or narrow down your product idea

• How to think about your skills, interests, customer and market opportunity

• How to avoid choosing a product that is too vague, too complicated or not commercially strong enough

• How to start thinking like a product founder, not just someone with an idea

Creating a Clear Product Brief

Once you know what you want to create, you need to be able to explain it clearly. This module teaches you how to turn your idea into a useful product brief that can be shared with a designer, supplier or factory.

You’ll cover:

• What information needs to go into a product brief

• How to communicate your product idea clearly and professionally

• How to think about materials, sizing, colours, finishes, branding and packaging

• How to reduce confusion before it turns into wrong samples, delays or extra costs

Finding and Choosing Suppliers

Finding the right supplier can feel like one of the most overwhelming parts of the process. This module helps you understand where to start, what to look for, what to ask, and how to begin identifying suppliers who may be the right fit for your product.

You’ll cover:

• Different types of suppliers and manufacturers

• Where to start looking for suppliers

• How to make initial contact

• What questions to ask before moving forward

• How to spot early red flags

• Why the cheapest supplier is not always the best supplier

Building Supplier Relationships

Sourcing is not just about finding a factory. It is about building a working relationship with the people who are helping bring your product to life. This module looks at communication, trust, cultural understanding and how to work with suppliers in a way that is professional, respectful and effective.

You’ll cover:

• How to build stronger supplier relationships

• How to communicate clearly across time zones, cultures and languages

• What good supplier communication looks like

• How to avoid misunderstandings

• How to create trust without being naive

• Why long-term supplier relationships can become one of your biggest business assets

Pricing, Costs and Profit

A product is not truly viable just because it can be made. It also needs to be priced properly. This module helps you understand the real cost of your product, including unit price, packaging, shipping, duties, GST, margins and the difference between pricing to sell and pricing to make a profit.

You’ll cover:

• How to understand supplier quotes

• What FOB, landed costs and other pricing terms actually mean

• What extra costs need to be considered before setting your price

• How to think about retail, wholesale and margin

• Why underpricing can quietly damage your business

• How to make more informed commercial decisions

Samples, Quality and Pre-Production

Samples are where your idea starts to become real, but they are also where small mistakes can become expensive if you do not know what to look for. This module teaches you how to review samples properly, give useful feedback and understand when something is approved, almost there, or not good enough.

You’ll cover:

• How the sample process works

• What to check when reviewing a sample

• How to give clear sample feedback

• How to understand quality expectations

• What needs to be approved before production

• How to avoid saying yes too early

Freight, Customs and Importing

Getting your product made is only part of the journey. You also need to understand how it gets from the supplier to you. This module introduces the logistics side of sourcing, including freight, customs, GST, duties and importing into Australia.

You’ll cover:

• Basic freight and shipping options

• What happens after production is finished

• What customs, GST and duties may mean for your product

• What information you may need before importing

• How logistics can impact timing, cost and launch planning

• Why shipping should never be an afterthought

Packaging, Stock and Getting Ready to Sell

This module brings the sourcing journey closer to the real world, where your product needs to be packaged, organised, fulfilled and ready for customers. You’ll learn what to think about once your product is moving from production into stock, sales channels and launch preparation.

You’ll cover:

• How packaging fits into the product development process

• What to consider before your stock arrives

• Basic fulfilment and storage considerations

• How to prepare your product for selling

• What to think about across retail, wholesale, online or market-style sales channels

• How to bridge the gap between manufacturing and actually selling your product

Hey there!

I'm Lee Li!

founder of Leeli & Co, creator of Leeli Design, and the person behind Get Sourcey

LOREM IPSUM SERVICES

For over two decades, I have worked inside the world of product design, sourcing and development, helping bring products to life for global retailers, suppliers and creative brands around the world.

Through Leeli & Co, my designs and product work have been sold in the millions for brands and retailers including Target, Zara, Topshop and more. I have worked across jewellery, accessories, soft goods, craft, packaging, homeware and product categories that start as a sketch, a sample, a supplier conversation or a tiny detail, and become real commercial products.

I have also built my own handmade jewellery brand, Leeli Design, from the ground up.

Leeli Design has been worn by actress Lily Van Der Meer and award-winning musician Sampa the Great, featured in magazines across the globe, shown as part of Melbourne Fashion Week, and invited to show at Paris Fashion Week.

Across my work, I have also been recognised for global brand, product design, handmade business and sustainability, but the part I care about most is helping creative people understand how to bring their ideas into the real world properly.

Because I know that from the outside, sourcing can feel completely confusing.

If you have never spoken to a supplier before, asked for a quote, reviewed a sample, worked out a margin, or tried to understand freight, MOQs, FOB, landed cost and all the other language that comes with sourcing, it can feel like everyone else has been given a map that you somehow missed.

That is why I created Get Sourcey.

I wanted to take the knowledge that usually takes years to learn, through factories, trade fairs, supplier meetings, mistakes, deadlines, sample rooms and real commercial pressure, and make it clear, practical and accessible for people who have brilliant product ideas but do not know how to make them real.

Get Sourcey is the course I wish more creative founders had access to before they spent money, placed orders, or tried to figure everything out alone.

My goal is not just to teach you sourcing.

It is to help you feel more confident, more informed and more equipped to step into the product world with a clearer plan, better questions and a much stronger sense of what is actually possible.

Is Get Sourcey Right for You?

Get Sourcey is designed for people who are ready to understand the product development and sourcing process properly, not just collect more ideas, save more inspiration, or keep wondering where to begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

it's EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO KNOW

Do I need to already have a product idea?

No. You can join Get Sourcey whether you already have a product idea or you are still working out what kind of product you want to create.

The course will help you think through your ideas more commercially, so you can understand what may be worth developing, what may need refining, and what might be too complicated, costly or unclear to start with.

Is Get Sourcey suitable for beginners?

Yes. Get Sourcey is designed to make the sourcing and product development process feel clear and understandable, even if you have never worked with a supplier before.

You do not need to know the industry language before you begin. The course will introduce you to the terms, stages and practical steps as you move through the modules.

What if I already have design, product or sourcing experience?

You are still welcome inside Get Sourcey.

If you already have some experience, you may move through certain sections more quickly or revisit specific modules when you need them. However, I still recommend watching the course in order, because every module includes real-world industry insight, practical examples and little nuggets of knowledge that may help you approach the process differently.

Is the course live or self-paced?

Get Sourcey is designed as a self-paced course, so you can work through the lessons in your own time and come back to them whenever you need.

This makes it easier to fit around work, family, clients, business and everyday life.

How long will I have access to the course?

You will have ongoing access to the course materials, so you can revisit the lessons, templates and tools whenever you are working on your product idea or developing future products.

What kind of downloads and templates are included?

You will receive practical tools and resources to help you apply what you are learning.

These may include product brief templates, supplier email prompts, margin calculators, purchase order templates, sample review checklists, supplier question lists, costing tools and a manufacturing terms dictionary.

Will the course include AI tools or prompts?

Yes. Get Sourcey will include AI tips and prompts throughout the course where they can genuinely support the product development and sourcing process.

These may help with research, idea development, supplier communication, planning and refining your product direction. As AI continues to evolve, these tips can be updated so the course remains practical and relevant.

Does Get Sourcey give me a list of suppliers?

Get Sourcey is not designed to simply hand you a list of suppliers and send you on your way.

Instead, it teaches you how to understand what kind of supplier you need, how to find potential suppliers, how to ask better questions, how to spot red flags, and how to build stronger supplier relationships.

A supplier list alone is not enough if you do not know how to brief, communicate, cost, sample or work with them properly.

Will this course guarantee my product will sell?

No course can honestly guarantee sales, profit or supplier outcomes.

What Get Sourcey will do is help you make more informed decisions, understand the sourcing process more clearly, avoid common mistakes, and approach your product development journey with more confidence and commercial awareness.

Is this course only for people in Australia?

No. The sourcing and product development principles taught inside Get Sourcey can be applied internationally.

Some sections, such as importing, GST, duties or freight, may include Australia-specific examples, but the wider process of idea development, briefing, supplier communication, sampling, costing and production planning is relevant to product founders in many locations.

What kind of products can I use this course for?

Get Sourcey is especially useful for product categories such as jewellery, accessories, craft, soft goods, homeware, packaging, lifestyle products and other design-led consumer goods.

The course is not limited to one product category, because the core sourcing and product development process applies across many types of products.

Do I have to be ready to place an order straight away?

No. In fact, it is better to understand the process properly before you rush into placing orders.

Get Sourcey is designed to help you prepare, think clearly, ask better questions and understand what needs to happen before you invest too much time or money into production.

Is this course about Alibaba?

Get Sourcey is not an Alibaba hack course.

While supplier sourcing platforms may be discussed as part of the wider sourcing landscape, this course is about understanding the full product development and sourcing process, from idea and brief, to supplier conversations, samples, pricing, production, freight and getting ready to sell.

Will I get personal feedback on my product idea?

Get Sourcey is primarily a self-paced course, designed to give you the knowledge, tools and templates to work through your product idea independently.

If live Q&As, community support, workshops or additional feedback opportunities are added, these can be included as bonuses or future support options.

What happens after I join?

Once you join, you will be able to start working through the course modules, access the templates and downloads, and begin applying the lessons to your own product idea or business.

You can move through the course step by step, come back to lessons when needed, and use the tools again as your product develops.

Ready to get Sourcey?

You have the idea. Now you need the clarity, confidence and practical sourcing knowledge to make it real.

Join Get Sourcey and start learning the process behind product development, supplier communication, samples, costing, freight, packaging and getting ready to sell.
